One of the most significant passages in the Bible that employ the term ‘prophet’ is Exodus 7:1. The context of this verse is that God has told Moses that he must return to Egypt to lead the Hebrews out of bondage. Moses complains bitterly and objects to his call because he is a man with ‘heavy speech’ and a ‘heavy tongue’ (Exod. 4:10, literal translation).
